Whether you're seeking relaxation, therapeutic intervention, or targeted injury recovery. Skilled in a multitude of massage modalities including sports massage and injury recovery, pregnancy/post-natal massage, and more. Each treatment session is unique, tailored to your specific needs and based on an agreed-upon treatment plan.

Incorporated is a range of therapeutic tools and techniques based on your needs and comfort. These include the use of jade hot/cold stones, customizing the therapeutic pressure from light to deep, active release, dynamic cupping therapy, K taping, and (IASTM) instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, stretch therapy. Specialized modalities such as craniosacral therapy and lymphatic therapy, are included in treatment sessions as needed.

New Patients: In Kamloops, Allison is only accepting new patients for:

Post-concussion care

Lymphatic therapy (including post-surgical orthopedic and cosmetic surgery)

Lymphedema therapy CDT, Oncology Care

Pre/post-natal care

Women's Health Conditions

Senior/Geriatric specialized care

For all other conditions, Allison strictly operates on a referral basis.

Allison will continue prioritizing your health needs and working with you as a partner in your ongoing healing journey. Adjustments to your treatment plan can always be made based on your comfort, progress, and evolving wellness goals.

As a small business without administrative support, we do not offer direct billing.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Treatment times include completing a health history (if not already completed in advance), health history review, individual assessment, treatment plan, massage/ manual therapy treatment, and aftercare.

At West Pine Massage & Wellness, our primary focus is to provide comprehensive support for acute or chronic pain, injury rehabilitation, post-concussion care, therapeutic massage, manual therapies, stress relief, and relaxation. Trauma Informed Care

We also offer specialized lymphatic care for pre/post-surgery, including cosmetic procedures, as well as lymphatic system dysfunction.

Our approach to pain treatment is based on the biopsychosocial model, which takes into account the entire person rather than just the symptomatic area of pain or dysfunction. We strive to deliver evidence-based care that is both effective and compassionate.

To support community members going through such periods, we've instituted a special therapeutic support program. This initiative provides affordable treatment options, ensuring that our services remain accessible to all, regardless of their current financial situation.

Extended health care plans may cover treatments provided by Allison.

If you are seeking reimbursement from a benefits plan or third-party insurance, it is the policyholder’s responsibility to verify your coverage, with your insurer, before booking your appointment. Insurers may require therapists to be registered members of CMTBC for treatment coverage, with unique requirements for each insurer's group plan.

Please be aware that Allison is not a member of the College of Massage Therapists of BC. She is not a ‘BC Registered’ RMT at this time, however, she has begun the process of joining the College.

Appointments are subject to the full cancellation fees if booked and then cancelled on short notice - (within 24 hrs of appointment time) because of Insurance coverage concerns.*. (this policy is enforced without exceptions)

Both registered and unregistered therapists, belonging to professional associations that are members of the Canadian Massage Therapist Association (CMTA), are required to adhere to the same standards of practice.

Allison is an active member of both provincial and national massage therapy associations and follows the rigorous guidelines set forth by the Canadian Massage Therapist Association (CMTA) so you are assured the same safe, effective professional quality treatment and care.

Missed Appointments/ Cancellation fees

We appreciate your understanding that cancellation fees are a necessary part of our business operations. We understand they can be challenging to comprehend and at times, frustrating.

As a measure of respect for your therapist and other clients, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for any cancellations or appointment changes.

Failure to provide this notice will result in a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the appointment rate. Please note that appointments booked within 24 hours of the scheduled time will also be subject to the full cancellation fee.

As a small business catering to one patient at a time, our operating costs and the therapist's income depend on the scheduled treatments.

Simply put, when appointments are missed or cancelled on short notice the therapist goes unpaid for that period.

If requiring insurance coverage and reimbursement to pay for appointments. *** It is the patient's responsibility to verify any insurance coverage, for treatments with Allison, with their insurer - BEFORE booking appointments**.

Illness Consideration - In light of maintaining the health and safety of everyone, please cancel your appointment if you are feeling unwell. We understand that illnesses are unpredictable and may occur suddenly.

Therefore, we have implemented a special policy for illness-related cancellations. Please ensure to cancel a minimum of 3 hours before your scheduled treatment time for adjusted fees to be considered.

However, please be aware that any cancellations made within 3 hours of the appointment time will still be subject to the full cancellation fee. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy.

Late Arrivals

The full appointment fee is charged, and treatment is for the remaining time. 

If no arrival or communication 20 minutes after the start time; the appointment is considered a” No Show” and cancellation fees apply for the full treatment. The appointment is cancelled.
