OUR STORY

The pine tree is a strong symbol of thriving, wisdom & longevity, and behind it stands a strong history of healing & wellness.

The pine tree was regarded as sacred as the needles and sap were used as medicine against illnesses. The tree is a symbol of strength and resiliency, as the various pine species can withstand cold and snow as well as rocky soil, wind, and drought.

We chose to use a single pine tree as our logo because it represents the strength & resiliency one can have when proper care & attention is given to healing, improving and maintaining one's health.

  • Allison has extensive experience in therapeutic massage and manual therapies for treating acute and persistent pain, lymphatic therapy, post-concussion care, injury, stress, and trauma. She graduated from the Nationally Accredited 2200-hour massage program at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Calgary AB in 2010. With 13 years of post-grad continuing education, she has a comprehensive understanding of acute and persistent pain from a holistic perspective.

Initially, Allison noticed a correlation between persistent pain, emotional health, trauma, grief, and stress, prompting her to study pain science and explore the relationship between physical pain, trauma, emotional pain, and healing. This led her to shift her focus to an integrative healthcare approach and further her education in support of this path. She continuously seeks evidence-backed information to assist her clients in healing and thriving.

As a trauma-informed practitioner, Allison provides a safe space in her clinic and offers referrals to other professionals when necessary. She is also a Grief Recovery Specialist®, CDC Certified Coach®, and Professional Mediator, and is currently expanding her knowledge in trauma-informed care.

Outside of work, Allison enjoys an active lifestyle with her family, horses, and her dog Walter. She believes in the therapeutic benefits of nature and animal companionship. Allison incorporates mindfulness and self-care practices into her daily routine, emphasizing the importance of self-care to effectively care for others.
